Salaried GP

Job summary

Crowhall Medical Group in Felling, Gateshead is looking for Salaried GP (sessions negotiable) with any level of experience to join our developing team. This represents a great opportunity for the development of a strong team and building on existing links across the Primary Care Network and wider neighbourhood teams.

We are a single site GMS practice working from purpose-built premises. We have high QOF achievement and a GOOD inspection rating from CQC. We use EMIS Web and work closely with our neighbouring practices and PCN.

Clinical and non-clinical staff meet formally on a weekly basis, and you will be invited to all of our clinical meetings. You will be encouraged to participate, as we adopt an inclusive approach to education, and we actively support all clinical staff to pursue their special interests. Clinicians catch up daily for coffee and support/brief discussions. We can provide mentoring support to newly qualified / returning doctors and will happily discuss this with any candidate who may feel that this approach could be of benefit to them.

Main duties of the job

Sessions consist of 12 patients + 2 phone calls, with no extras. We operate a Duty Doctor system with protected time out of booked clinics to provide this. We regularly review our access model and the workload per session to ensure it remains appropriate for changing needs.

About us

We have invested in and benefit from the support of PCN ARRS staff including Pharmacists, Physiotherapists, a Mental Health Worker, and a large team of Community Link Workers (social prescribers). We are streamlining our processes to remove some of the administrative burdens from our GPs' working day.
