Job summary
South Leicestershire Medical Group are looking to welcome a medical secretary into our busy practice, on a full or part time basis, who will play a full and active role as part of the practice multi-disciplinary team.
The role will be based at the Old School Surgery Practice in Kibworth.
Working days/hours:
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday - 11.30-5.30 = 24 hours per week.
Annual leave: 28 days including bank holidays. Pro Rata

Main duties of the job
To provide general secretarial support to the management team, doctors and health professionals, involving MS Word, Lexacom ad administration duties for all sites within the partnership.

- To provide an efficient auto script and typing service for GP's and health professionals as required. This includes the typing of letters, reports, patient referrals, etc. In an accurate and quality manner.
- To assist the secretary lead with all clerical and administrative duties.
- To make appointments, bookings and admissions as required.
- To establish and maintain filing and administrative systems so that written or computer information is easily accessible and secure.
- To receive incoming and initiate outgoing telephone calls to facilitate timely and appropriate queries.
- To maintain the computer clinic system in an accurate and secure manner.
- To provide cover for members of the team during holidays and periods of sickness
- In liaison with the clerk responsible, maintain adequate suppled of office stationary in order to perform secretarial duties.
- To receive and dispatch mail and maintain a pending system.
