Job summary

We are a 2 site GP Practice with a single M number and expect the post holder to work across both sites.

We are a team of 4 GP Partners, 2 salaried GPs, 2 Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Practice Nurse, HCA's and an excellent skilled admin team and highly supportive managed team working across both sites.

We are a clinician led total triage practice.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a Salaried GP who shares our values of offering high quality patient centred care. In return we offer

We are offering 4 sessions per week, with regular admin time built into the rota.

Teaching opportunities with registrars and under-graduates.

The opportunity for supported CPD including regular clinical and team meetings.

Job description

Job responsibilities

Provide general medical services to registered and temporary patients in accordance with the practices GMS contract

Undertake patient consultations in person, via telephone, or online, including assessment, diagnosis, investigation, treatment, and referral as appropriate

Maintain accurate, contemporaneous, and confidential clinical records using the practices clinical system (e.g., EMIS-WEB)

Manage acute and chronic conditions in line with NICE guidance and best practice standards

Participate in the management of long-term conditions and health promotion clinics (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, asthma)

Review and act upon pathology results, hospital correspondence, and other clinical communications

Prescribe medicines in accordance with the practices formulary and prescribing policies

Undertake home visits and care home rounds where appropriate

Provide advice and support to colleagues, including nurses, pharmacists, and administrative staff

Participate in clinical governance, audit, and quality improvement activities

Support and contribute to the training of medical students, GP trainees, and other learners if applicable

  • Sound clinical knowledge and diagnostic skills

Qualifications

  • MBBS or equivalent medical degree
  • Full registration with GMC
  • Inclusion on the NHS England Medical Performers List

  • Postgraduate qualifications (e.g., MRCGP, DRCOG, DCH, DFSRH)

Experience

  • Experience of working in UK general practice or equivalent primary care setting

Desirable

  • Experience with QOF, enhanced services, or audit work
  • Experience teaching or supervising trainees
