Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity available for a Part Time Operations Manager to join the Management Team at a friendly and welcoming GP Practice in Twickenham on a permanent basis.

The exact part time hours and rate of pay can be discussed, but the candidate must be able to work on Fridays.

Main duties of the job

You will be working closely alongside the Practice Manager to effectively manage the day to day operations of the practice to make sure it runs smoothly and efficiently for its diverse patient population!

Previous managementexperiencewithin the NHS/ GP Surgery setting is desirable with management skills, customer skills and HR knowledge essential.

Salary is negotiable, depending on skills and experience, and the position will be for part time hours, exact hours to be discussed but working Fridays essential.

Job responsibilities

The Operations Manager will be responsible for:

- Supporting and leading the day to day operations of the Practice.

- Providing leadership and guidance to the team and making sure they are following correct policies and procedures.

- Overseeing QOF analysis and actioning tasks as appropriate.

- Ensuring the appointment book is effectively operated and liaising with clinicians or any gaps.

- Implement compliant systems for CQC.

- Undertaking audits for the purposes of improving functionality for staff and patients alike.

- Working closing alongside and deputising for the PM when necessary.

- Maintaining accurate HR records for staff members.

- Actioning sickness procedure and holiday requests where necessary.

- Undertaking staff appraisals alongside the PM.

- Dealing with patient complaints.

- Confidently lead Practice meetings where necessary - these include all staff meetings, clinical meetings and management meetings.
