Job summary

We are seeking a dedicated enthusiastic doctor for a Salaried GP post with a view to joining the partnership. The successful applicant would work 6 sessions per week.

Main duties of the job

To provide standard GP services and help the practice achieve good results via QoF, the Local, National and PCN Enhanced Services and the Prescribing Incentive Scheme

About us

Dr Clarke and Partners is a small cohesive practice in Wickersley, one of the leafy suburbs of Rotherham. We have four partners, one of whom is retiring: two nurses: two HCAs and a team of twelve support staff providing care for our 7,000 patients of mixed social-classes. We enjoy the buzz within our team and the support we can offer to each other. Working from Wickersley Health Centre we are easily accessible from the M18 and are only 10 minutes from the M1 / Sheffield Parkway. We are high QoF achievers supported via SystmOne clinical software.

Qualifications

Essential

  • A medical practitioner whose name is included in the General Practitioner Register under article 10 of the General and Specialist Medical Practice Order 2003
  • Not subject to suspension under section 41A of the Medical Act 1983
  • Qualified General Practitioner (completed certificate of Completion of Training CCT)

Experience

Essential

  • Currently on a PCT performers list and not suspended from that list or from the medical register
  • Recent experience of working in general practice in the UK
  • Commitment to and experience of working as part of a multi disciplinary and skill mixed team environment
  • Evidence of independent working in General Practice
  • Evidence of participation in QOF
  • Have an understanding of the needs of the vulnerable groups of patients that are registered
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent record keeping skills
  • Understanding of the current issues and challenges facing primary care
  • Excellent time management
  • Excellent patient manner

Desirable

  • Evidence of CPD activities
  • Experience of working to achieve standards within the Quality and Outcome Framework (QOF)
  • Experience of supporting service change
  • Evidence of participation in Audit
  • Experience working with the homeless, looked after children, asylum seekers, refugees and other vulnerable groups would be very beneficial
