Job summary
Bewdley Medical Centre (BMC) 4 - 6 Sessions.
BMC is an individual practice, within the Wyre Forest Health Partnership. We are looking to recruit a salaried GP to our team following the relocation of a GP Partner. Bewdley has 6 GP partners, 1 non-GP Partner and 4 Salaried GPs.
We serve 16000 patients in a beautiful, semirural area of the West Midlands. We are situated in a new building in Bewdley town centre, which opened in 2016, and has fantastic views of the River Severn and the Wyre Forest with great schools and close proximity to Birmingham and Worcester.
We utilise the expertise of a large partnership, with our organisational structure already in place, so that we are able to offer an excellent working environment and a good work/life balance.
We are looking for a keen and enthusiastic doctor who can demonstrate commitment to the delivery of high-quality patient centred medicine. We are seeking Doctors who share our passion and who can assist the partnership to become the best it can be in a modern NHS.
Main duties of the job
We support the development of specialist clinical interests. We have both salaried and partner GPs working as clinical leads for the partnership. There are also opportunities for other business and leadership development within the organisation.
- Each routine session is capped at 15 contacts
- Limited Home Visits Home visiting is ANP Led and GPs attend only where triage by visiting ANP requires GP attendance.
- 6 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays
- 1 week guaranteed paid study leave per year.
- Innovative back-room function that minimises the need to review long term condition blood results or clinical letters.
- All GPs provided with a Laptop, Flexible working is supported.
- Support from a multi-disciplinary team including Pharmacists, Physiotherapists and Care-coordinators.
- Experienced Triage GPs who book appointments, all booked patient contact is GP appropriate.
- Regular funded salaried away day teaching sessions, where you meet with other salaried GPs from across the Partnership
- Structured induction package tailored to meet candidate needs.
- Regular educational meetings and supervision (both in site and cross Partnership)
- Salary from £11k per session per annum dependent on experience
- Performance related pay and appraisal structure
- Indemnity paid by MDU
