Job summary

Kidderminster Medical Centre 6 Sessions

  • Up to 8 sessions available to suit the post holder.
  • Each Session is capped at 16 contacts.
  • No home visiting required.
  • Structured induction Package.
  • Educational meetings and supervision.
  • An opportunity to develop your clinical skills to work in our minor ops service if desired.
  • Funded Salaried Away day Sessions where you meet up with other salaried GPs from across the Partnership.
  • Salary from £10k per session per annum dependent on experience.
  • Indemnity paid and1 week study leave pro rata.

Main duties of the job

There is the opportunity for future Partnership for those who are looking to progress their career in that way.

We also support the development of specialist clinical interests. We have both salaried and partner GPs working as clinical leads for the partnership.

There are also opportunities for other business and leadership development within the organisation, for those who want it.

Kidderminster Medical Centre (KMC) new building opened in 2016. We are based in the Wyre Forest, Worcestershire from which there is easy access to Birmingham, and the Motorway Network. But it is also great if you like rivers, forests and nice places to live.

  • KMC was rated as Good at its last CQC inspection. It has 4 Partners and 3 Salaried GPs in its team.
  • It is a training practice for GP registrars.
  • There is an excellent patient triage system in operation.
  • The current Wyre Forest Health Partnership (WFHP) Chair is based at the surgery.

WFHP is working towards the NHS goals to reach net zero greenhouse gas emissions as soon as possible. We actively encourage new staff to take an interest in this and build sustainable practice into their roles.

  • Auditing practices compliance against NICE technology assessment guidance.
  • Able to build a rapport with patients and staff.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Able to work as a team player and independently.
  • IT skills

  • Previous experience/equivalent in Primary Care/GP practice role.
  • Demonstrable track record of achievement in quality, patient safety and patient experience.
  • Experience of effective partnership and working with internal and external stakeholders.
