We
have an exciting opportunity for new Patient Advisor to join our forward
thinking, supportive, family friendly training practice. You will have strong
organisational skills and be a positive and confident communicator with proven coordination
experience and skills.
Previous experience in the NHS in a similar role is not required, however a strong background in customer service would be an advantage.
Main duties of the job
- You
will work across a number of different areas, which provides variety to the day
and offer opportunities for development. For example, you could:

Be the first line of support on telephones (or web based enquiries) to book appointments
and signposting queries. You will employ a variety of questioning techniques to
develop a full picture of their needs, and provide clear and concise
information to patients, as well as helping them feel at ease.

Provide reception cover, booking in patients, providing patients
with information and forms as required.

Work on administrative tasks, such as sending out patient invites
to specialist clinics, filing notes and updating medical records as tasked by
clinicians

Newport Health Centre currently provides services across 2 sites; this role will be based between Dower House Surgery, Pyle Street, Newport and Carisbrooke health Centre, Carisbrooke High Street, Newport.
