Due to retirement, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join our
friendly dedicated team at Foundry Lane Surgery in East Leeds.
Ideally, we are looking for an experienced Practice Nurse who has
previous experience of working in General Practice; a nurse who is
enthusiastic, organised and is confident to work unsupervised.

pattern - Thursday & Friday 8.30am - 6pm

Main duties of the job
The role will include management of long-term conditions, cytology,
vaccinations, health screening and health promotion.
Full training will be
given to the right candidate.

Foundry Lane Surgery, based in Seacroft, Leeds 14, has a list size of 7624 patients and is a busy, forward-thinking Training Practice.
Our friendly team includes GP Partners, Salaried GPs, FY2 Trainees & GP Registrars, Nurses, Healthcare Assistant, Reception & Administrative Team and Practice Manager.
The practice holds a sponsor license (Worker A Rating - skilled worker)
We are also supported by our Primary Care Network colleagues who specialise in the proactive care of our patients within our community. They provide coordinated, pro-active and integrated services to our community.

Duties will include:-
Cervical screening and contraception
Long term condition reviews and health promotion for example
diabetes, COPD, BP
Baby/Childhood immunisations and other vaccinations
Travel vaccinations/advice
Wound care and leg ulcer management, dopplers and compression
Vaccine ordering and stock management
Attend and participate in training and meetings as required
Adhere to infection control standards and cold chain compliancy
Understand practice and local policies for safeguarding adults and
children, referring patients appropriately
Support the team in dealing with clinical emergencies
