Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated GP to join our forward thinking GP Practice at Lingwell Croft Surgery in Middleton, Leeds. We are looking for 4-6 sessions per week.
We have just one site and have a patient list size of 15,000, 5 GP Partners, 4 Salaried GPs, three Advanced Nurse Practitioners, two Pharmacists, Pharmacy technician and a highly qualified Nursing team of 9.
The structure of the practice allows us to have a Reception team, a Prescribing team, an IT/Admin and coding team, Pathology Results team and a Secretarial team who provide support in order to reduce the GP workload.
We fully support the training and up skilling of our staff as well as training Registrars, and student Nurses at the practice.
We offer 6 weeks holiday plus 1 week study leave in addition to 8 public holidays.
There is free secure parking for staff with electric gates and CCTV monitoring.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be a qualified general practitioner who can demonstrate highly developed clinical skills and be able to demonstrate critical thinking whilst working within their professional boundaries.
They will work within a clinical team consisting of GPs, Practice Pharmacist, Practice Nurses and Health Care Assistants to deliver excellent primary care services within the practice.
They will be able to manage a busy and varied clinical caseload with for patients requiring routine, acute, home visits and palliative care. There will also be the opportunity to take on a lead clinical area of specialist interest.
- In accordance with the practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make themselves available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork, insurance reports, medicals and correspondence in a timely fashion.
- Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation
- Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems
- Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness
- In general the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care

We are currently a 9-doctor GMS training practice operating from Lingwell Croft Surgery on Shelldrake Drive, at Middleton, Leeds. There are five GP partners and four salaried GPs.
Lingwell Croft Surgery offers modern facilities for primary health care with 24 consulting rooms. Secure staff and patient car parking is provided, with CCTV, and our facilities offer easy access to pedestrians.
We have a current list size of over 15,000.
