We are looking to expand our Nursing team at Carterknowle & Dore
Medical Practice. This role is ideal for a driven individual that can work well
as a team but also run own clinics. We are looking for somebody that is
flexible and adaptable; confident in computer use and with a passion for
helping and supporting patients.
Experience and qualification in practice nursing duties is desirable
however we are able to support further training where required for the right
candidate.
All employees are given the opportunity to join the NHS Pension scheme;
with the practice contributing 14.38% of your monthly earnings toward this.
You will have 4 weeks annual leave plus Bank Holiday entitlement - with
the opportunity to accrue additional leave with length of service.
There is also the option to be part of a group private healthcare
scheme.
We are looking to recruit a full time team member for 36 hours per week
but will consider a contract of less than full time hours for the right
candidate.

CARTERKNOWLE AND DORE MEDICAL PRACTICE are seeking an enthusiastic and
energetic individual to fulfil a role as a Practice Nurse to join our expanding
nursing team. This role involves general practice nursing, chronic disease
management, care planning, travel immunisation, cervical screening and child
vaccination along with the opportunity to be involved in nurse led research
projects and clinical education. The candidate will also be involved in working
towards QOF achievement, ensuring efficient stock control and attending
Nursing, MDT and SEA meetings.
We hold weekly protected time for self-directed nurse team catch-up. The
position would suit an applicant with previous experience in a primary care
setting with chronic disease management qualification and an interest in
research and education.

Sheffield working across two sites- Carterknowle Practice and Dore Practice. We
offer care to 12,200 patients. We have a large team, including a variety of
skills, that all work together to provide the best possible care for our
patients.

The role involves daily telephone contact with patients via face to face
consultation, telephone calls and online consultation.

Job Summary:
To provide and maintain a high standard of
nursing care for patients as well as providing nursing assistance to the
doctors and other members of the primary healthcare team. To monitor patients suffering from chronic
diseases commensurate with training.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in and
perform routine tasks related to patient care as directed by senior
nursing staff and GPs
- Such tasks may
include
- Basic wound care
/ ulcer care
- Removal of
Sutures
- Urinalysis
- Venepuncture
- Blood pressure
