Job summary

We are a busy practice caring for over 22,000 patients over 4 sites in Harworth, Retford, Misterton and Gringley-on-the-Hill. The successful candidate will be based at Gringley and Misterton sites. We are a well-led, well-managed and supportive practice. We are consistently a high performing GP training practice with 7 partners and 6 salaried GP's working alongside an excellent team of ANPs, nurses, social prescribers and practice pharmacists. We also have up to 6 GP Registrars training at any one time.

We are expanding our team of passionate and professional staff at Riverside Health Partnership. We are seeking a dedicated apprentice who would like to work and train alongside dedicated staff working in the NHS. You will need to be of a caring disposition who has a desire to work in a fast-paced, forward thinking GP practice.

We are working during challenging time in Primary Care and we have changed our work patterns radically to meet the different demands of our patients by great teamwork, cooperation, and flexibility.

Main duties of the job

An exciting opportunity to join a caring and dedicated team and undertake your on-the-job learning as a keen and enthusiastic apprentice with a view to permanent employment and skills for life.

The successful candidate will be an integral part of the dispensary and pharmaceutical administrative team and will have responsibility for managing key administrative tasks to ensure we are able to meet our targets. The purpose of the post holder is to take every opportunity to ensure that administration and pharmaceutical responsibilities are managed appropriately and that the practice maintains efficient functions.

Although the post-holder will take responsibility for their own work, they will work as part of the administrative and finance team, and be supervised and mentored by members of the team.

This role will come with specific training in handling of medicines in addition to administrative functions. There will be an option for enhance training to a qualified dispenser for the right candidate.

To be responsible for receiving, processing and distributing of medication ordering.

To follow processing according to detail and deadlines

To be able to work under own initiative and be self-motivated.

To be able to work to set targets in a methodical manner.
