Riverside
Health Centre is currently seeking a Health Bus Facilitator to
join our hard working and enthusiastic team. The individual ideally needs to
have experience of vehicle maintenance, infection control procedures, manual handling
and is confident driving a large vehicle. Full comprehensive training will be provided.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new
project delivering Primary Care Services in the community.
This is a
full time position and will require flexible working patterns across the
working week between 8am and 6:30pm. Applicants must hold a valid UK Driving

Main duties of the job
Main Duties: Responsible
for the servicing and overall roadworthiness of the vehicle/to clean the
vehicle inside and out/To replenish consumables in the
vehicle/To undertake a deep clean of the vehicle/To ensure that all 'under the bonnet' checks are undertaken, and issues are
rectified or reported to management/Always assess the
vehicle before driving/Responsible for
vehicles security/To drive the vehicle and refuel as required.
Key Competencies; Must hold
a clear, enhanced DBS certificate /Full UK driving licence with 3 points or less/Experience of vehicle maintenance/Competent at basic repairs and
maintenance of facilities/Knowledge of health and safety procedures/IT
literate/Good verbal and written communication skills/Problem solving
skills/Flexible approach, team player/Physical Effort; the post holder will be expected to undertake bending,
lifting and stretching in this role.

Job responsibilities
Job Purpose:
The role will be responsible for the maintenance of the Health Bus
internally and externally ensuring it remains in immaculate condition and to
ensure that all necessary maintenance requirements and safety checks are
undertaken, with the safety of passengers and compliance with Health and Safety
legislation being the highest possible priorities. The checking and inspecting of all medical equipment, detailed cleaning,
Infection Prevention and Control activities and the robust annotation of all
vehicle documentation including before & after use checks will be of
paramount importance. In addition, when not required to undertake driving
duties, s/he will provide assistance and support to the practice as directed,
including maintenance of the premises, facilities, fixtures and fittings
Main Duties/Key Tasks:
Responsible for the driving of
the vehicle to all locations
Responsible for the driving of
the vehicle for other medical practices
To
clean and prepare the vehicle at the specific locations and its satellite
stations
Responsible for the servicing and
overall roadworthiness of the vehicle
To
clean the vehicle inside and out, as per Infection Prevention and Control
To
replenish consumables and medical items in the vehicles, as per specifications
or guidelines
To
ensure the daily accountability of all medical equipment in the health bus is
in good working order
To
undertake a deep clean of the vehicles on a six-weekly basis, as required
To
ensure that all 'under the bonnet' checks are undertaken, and issues are
rectified or reported to management
To
alert management of any issues that may affect service and safe operation of the
vehicle
Always
assess the vehicle before driving to ensure it's safe and road worthy
Responsible
for the vehicles security
To
drive the vehicle to the most cost-effective fuel station and refuel as
required
To
attend any training or meetings as required
Assist
the medical team where necessary when visiting patient locations
The
collection and delivery of prescriptions to patients as required
To
undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by the manager and undertake minor items of repair, maintenance to the fabric of the
buildings for the benefit and safety of staff and patients. Including the minor
repair of fixtures and fittings including desks, chairs and tables as appropriate.
Responsible for all planned preventative maintenance on site, including but not
limited to proactive and reactive work. To deal with minor repairs where
necessary as instructed by the partners and/or Compliance and Estates Manager.
Support with cleaning duties as and when required, adhering to infection
control process at all times.
Regularly check external areas
for any potential danger to people on site and report this to the Compliance
and Estates Manager. Assist with deliveries and general portage duties

modules specific to the role
Key Competencies:
- Full driving licence with 3 points or less
