Job summary

We are looking for an experienced Practice Manager who will work closely with the Partners, Business Manager and Operational Manager to set the strategy for the on-going successful development of the practice and to ensure the safe, effective, and financially intelligent running of the business with a focus on high quality patient care.

You will be responsible for providing collaborative leadership and for managing all aspects of the practice with responsibility for patient services, HR & management of staff, liaison with building management and overall operations including Health and Safety, compliance with CQC regulation, management of internal and external stakeholder relationships, finance and IT.

Main duties of the job

Job Overview

  • To ensure the provision of a high-quality patient service within a safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led working environment by providing effective support to the Partners and staff, running the day-to-day operation of the practice and encouraging the development of the business.
  • Lead on the management and delivery of all Directed, National and Local Enhanced Services and services commissioned through the Integrated Care Board (ICB), PCN, Federation and Public Health Departments.
  • To be involved in identifying service changes and developments in line with local requirements, keeping up to date with current affairs and identify potential threats and opportunities.
  • Maintaining appropriate records of staff, patients, financial transactions, and other administrative documents.
  • Lead on CQC compliance, ensuring policies and procedures are reviewed on an annual basis and arrange for amendments as necessary.

About us

Queenswood Medical Practice has 22,000 patients, with a good CQC rating and is situated in a modern purpose-built practice with onsite parking and a café. We have with 6 GP Partners, 10 salaried GPs, 6 members of nursing staff and 28 members of administrative staff. Through our PCN we have a large multidisciplinary clinical team including pharmacists, paramedics, social link prescribers and a mental health practitioner, with a culture of staff development and a focus on teaching and learning.

We are a established teaching practice with several GP registrars and medical students. The Practice is part of the South West Haringey Primary Care Network (PCN).
