Job summary

The Menston and Guiseley Practice are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated GP to join our forward thinking GP Practice based in Guiseley and Menston. We are looking for 4 session per week.

We have a patient list size of 11,000, The Practice has afriendly and committed team of staff consisting of3 GP Partners, 1 Salaried GP, 2 ACPs, 3 Pharmacists, 1 Physicians Associate, 4 Practice Nurses and 3 HCAs along with an experiencedand supportive management and administrative team.

We fully support the training and up skilling of our staff as well as training Registrars, and students at the practice.

We offer 6 weeks holiday plus 1 week study leave in addition to 8 public holidays.

Main duties of the job

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be a qualified general practitioner who can demonstrate highly developed clinical skills and be able to demonstrate critical thinking whilst working

They will be able to manage a busy and varied clinical caseload with for patients requiring routine, acute, home visits and palliative care.

In accordance with the practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make themselves available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries in a timely fashion.

• Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation
• Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems
• Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness
• In general the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care
