Job summary

Our practice clinical healthcare team now require additional administrative assistance to help support and maintain practice data quality / ongoing health promotion and online patient services within the practice. 

Longton Health Centre are part of Ribble Medical Group Primary Care Network and as our teams take on additional clinical roles their workload needs administrative support.

Main duties of the job

Assistance is required to review and code, summarise and manage the day to day workflow of relevant information from patient’s clinical records, hospital correspondence and other sources into the practice computer system, working strictly in accordance with the practice notes summarising and coding protocols joining our existing administration team.

Workflow and distribution of incoming electronic mail

Administrative support and co-ordination of health clinics

Administrative support and organisation of weekly Care Home MDTs and associated service provider engagement to include the bookings of SMR appointments, monitoring attendance and following up any DNAs.

Administrative support in completion of tasks as set by the pharmacy team.

Media Platform administration

General administration work disseminated by Workflow Lead

o You will ensure safeguarding issues or patient related concerns are raised appropriately to the appropriate individual.

o You will act as a liaison between patients, pharmacy teams and practice teams as appropriate and link with patient participation groups, social prescribers and practice supporters to promote cancer screening or awareness events.

o You will help administratively with any auditing or searching of GP clinical systems.

o You will act as a link between Support Workers, the GP and any PCN, primary, community or secondary care colleagues, supporting administratively any onward referrals, care planning or administrative patient needs as appropriate.
