Job summary
We are looking for an Operations/ Admin Manager to assist the Business Manager with the running of the GP surgery on a day-to-day basis. GP/ NHS Practice experience is desirable as deputising for the BM will be necessary.
25- 35 hours suggested for the role however, other hours will be considered. Pay will be dependent on experience.
The role will suit an individual looking to progress from Admin manager to becoming a Operations Manager or you may be ambitious and looking to progress.
Experience of EMIS clinical system, Docman and Accurx is desirable along with good IT skills.
The role will require flexibility, a can-do attitude, and ability to work in a busy environment.
The role will suit an individual who can adapt to change, work autonomously, manage projects, development and implement new ways of working and processes within the practice.
You will have the ability and desire to further improve the IT functionality within the practice such as online patient access, surgery website, patient electronic communications and to make efficient use of available systems.

Main duties of the job
This role requires a candidate who can work flexible within
a team and autonomously with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
The role will involve all aspects of the practice including attending
PCN, PM, PPG and internal and external meetings, premises maintenance, IT
support, HR, patient communications such as website or dealing with grumbles or
complaints, CQC preparation, practice administration and interaction with
patients.
Management of the teams and individuals will be required
particularly in the Business Manager absence along with crisis management of
issues such as disaster management, loss of services such as IT Equipment,
telephones, etc.
Patient healthcare needs are at the forefront of our
practice day to day operations, you should be familiar with QOF achievement and
the NHS healthcare setting. You will
assist in the planning of clinics to ensure we have a successful patient recall
system.
You will need to be motivated to work within the team in a
busy GP surgery and be able to adapt to a varying day to day requirements of
the role. Flexibility and a can do attitude will be required along with
resilience.
This role will evolve as the style of working within the NHS
and within a primary care network changes and practices work more
collaboratively together over the next few years.

Redwood House Surgery is a well organised, high achieving 2 Partner practice with 6,000 patients providing dedicated caring clinical services.
We have a nursing team, clinical pharmacist, social prescriber, well-being coach and in house Physio who work alongside the reception and admin team.
The practice achieved a GOOD CQC rating JUNE 2021. We have a friendly happy team working at the surgery.
We are situated in a pleasant location within easy access of the M4/ M40 in Cox Green, Maidenhead.
