Job summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic GP who has completed their training (CCT) within the last 2 years to join our friendly and supportive team for 4-5 sessions per week. In this role, you will provide a comprehensive range of primary care services, including management of both acute and chronic conditions, preventative health care, and the promotion of overall patient well-being. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and play an active role in the continuous development of clinical services and quality improvement initiatives.

Main duties of the job
- Provide high-quality medical care to the practice population, ensuring services align with primary care contracts.
- Prescribe in line with practice, local and national guidelines.
- Manage long-term conditions effectively and process administrative tasks promptly, including referrals and prescriptions.
- Participate in telephone triage, online consultation and F2F as required.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and adhere to best practices, clinical guidelines, and audit recommendations.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and support continuous development within the practice.
- Accept delegated responsibilities for specific areas, including QOF and PCN activities
- Attend practice clinical meetings and contribute to clinical governance and training.
- Ensure compliance with appraisals, revalidation, and ongoing professional development.
- Adhere to practice policies, encourage teamwork, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Please note that this role will be employed directly by the Aberfeldy Practice via the GP ARRS pathway. The successful candidate will work within the Aberfeldy Practice and will not be associated with any other PCN practices.

You will be based in our new, purpose-built health centre and will be well supported by an experienced clinical and administrative team. The multidisciplinary clinical team benefits from a diverse skill mix, comprising General Practitioners, Clinical Pharmacists, a Physician Associate, a First Contact Physiotherapist, Practice Nurses, Healthcare Assistants and a GP Assistant for clinical document management, together with administrative support.
We also work closely with local organisations to offer a range of activities from our community rooms on the ground floor that is ideal for promoting wider health and well being.
