Job summary

We are looking for an Assistant Practice Manager with excellent organisation and communication skills to join our growing, wonderful team. This is a full-time role, Mon - Fri (Flexible). Ideally, we expect applications from someone with general practice experience, but we also welcome candidates with managerial experience in a similar setting.

Main duties of the job

The key role of the Assistant Practice Manager will be to support the Practice Manager and Partners in the operational management of the practice. The Assistant Practice Manager willalso be responsible for IT, premises, smooth running of reception, HR and patient services.

About us

We are a well-established teaching practice based in Poplar, Tower Hamlets. There are 6 GP partners, 6 salaried GPs, and a very experienced nursing team with various other allied healthcare professionals. The current list size is 11,800 and growing. We are excited about the future at the Aberfeldy, as we are moving to a purpose-built premises later this year. We are incredibly proud of how we provide care for our patients, and the new premises will enhance the quality of care and facilitate various health and well-being programmes for the local population.

The person for this will be responsible for assisting the Practice Manager in the smooth and efficient running of the practice. This includes working closely with the partners, deal with patient queries and complaints, HR, responsible for IT, team building, smooth running of reception, premises management and other administrative procedures.

The Assistant Practice Managewill also represent the Practice Manager and practice in general, at external meetings as and when required.

Informal visits are welcome in order to find out more about the role.
