Job summary

Purpose: To assist the GPs and Nursing team in the service and delivery of the care management of the practice population.

Main duties of the job

The post holder works under indirect supervision of the Nursing Manager and undertakes task and duties delegated by the nursing manager or a suitably qualified regulated professional. They will work collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of patients, following policy and procedures while providing supervision to the Trainee HCA's.

About us

Ashby Turn Primary Care Centre is a friendly and well established semi-rural GP practice with a patient list size of approx. 12,600 patients.

Clinically we have 3 GP Partners, 2 Salaried GPs, 3 ANPs, 3 Practice Nurses and 2 HCAs, as well as a regular Locum Team. We are a large training practice supporting GP registrars, medical students and student nurses.

Operationally the practice is managed by The Practice Manager, with support from the Assistant Practice Manager.

Job Summary

The post holder works under indirect supervision of the practice nurse team leader and undertakes task and duties delegated by the practice nurse team leader or a suitably qualified regulated professional. They will work collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of patients, following policy and procedures while providing supervision to more junior staff.
