Job summary

There couldn't be a better time to join our Pendle East Neighbourhood Team as truly integrated working is really emerging as the way forward for primary care locally.

We are looking to recruit a Physicians Associate to join our expanding Neighbourhood team working within our Pendle East Hub, and across our five GP practices.

You will be required to participate in all aspects of patient care using the knowledge gained from your Physicians Associate training working with our experienced PCN clinicians and supervised by GP colleagues.

You will work in a beautiful area on the Lancashire / Yorkshire border with a dedicated, care-focussed and forward-thinking team who are excited about developing new ways of working together.

Main duties of the job

You will be required to:-

  • deliver a high standard of patient care using advanced autonomous clinical skills with in-depth theoretical knowledge and evidence-based practice working under the supervision of a GP
  • manage a clinical caseload and deal with presenting patients needs in a primary care setting
  • provide clinical leadership where appropriate within the practice and support other members of the team to develop and maintain clinical skills appropriate to your role and expertise.
  • Work flexibly when required. Some evening and weekend working may be required as services develop.

About us

Our Pendle East Neighbourhood team is based in Colne Health Centre, where clinical and non-clinical staff members from a variety of organisations work together to provide the best patient care for the residents of our area.

You will also work very closely with our five local GP practices, and exciting new models of working are rapidly evolving.

You would be a part of these developments, thinking about new ways of working in an integrated way, but in a highly supportive environment.
