Job summary
We are a large busy GP practice
located over two sites in Bramhall and Shaw Heath.
We are looking to employ a medical receptionist with excellent communication and telephone skills who will be available to work
across our 2 sites.
As the first point of contact,
this role is integral to our approach to patient care, both face to face and on
the telephone.
Main duties of the job
Be available to work 4-5 days with
varying shift patterns.
You will be expected to receive,
assist and direct patients either in person or via phone in accessing the
appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and
effective way.
Ensure that enquiries from
patients are efficiently handled.
Provide general assistance to
the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and
other visitors, either in person or via the telephone

- Provide general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone
- Deal with home visit requests ensuring they are entered on computer with the patient records
Administration
- To assist with all practice based reception admin tasks as directed
- To have a thorough knowledge of all practice procedures.
- To work in accordance with practice policies/protocols and processes
- Any other tasks allocated by managers

- Clear and stock rooms after surgeries
- Any other tasks allocated by managers

Essential
- Excellent interpersonal skills

- Previous General Practice experience
- GCSE grade C or above
