Job summary
An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic
and highly motivated Research Nurse to become part of our friendly and
innovative Research Team at Arc Primary Care. The role is to support the
delivery of contractual targets and of Arc's NIHR adopted research studies.
We are ideally
seeking someone with experience, or a keen interest, in clinical research, a
knowledge of good clinical practice, good verbal and written communication,
adaptability and attention to detail.
The role is pivotal to developing a new and
innovative Research workstream across the PCN so requires motivation and
passion to develop the role and to deliver an excellent service for our patient
population.
Interviews will take face to face at Dunston Innovation Centre, on the morning of Tuesday 8th July.

Main duties of the job
The postholder will be responsible for shaping and
developing the Research workstream across the PCN and, where possible;
improving services, addressing health inequalities and achieving core contracts
and targets.
You will work to engage with the setup of new studies,
recruit participants to the research studies, maintain follow up visits, be
responsible for entering data onto trial databases, raise the profile of
research within the trust, record and maintain accurate documentation relating
to trial participants.

Arc Primary Care is the umbrella organisation of the Primary Care Network (PCN) in Chesterfield and Dronfield. Arc Primary Care is an alliance of GP Practices.
Our members consist of 10 GP practices which cover a population of over 100,000 patients. At Arc we are committed to ensuring the sustainability of General Practice (and the time honoured valued of list-based general practice model) and realising the benefits of working together.
We deliver enhanced services within the PCN designed to support and enhance the services offered by our member GP Practices within Chesterfield. We do this by employing staff to work through the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme and finding innovative and sustainable solutions to the changing needs of the Practices; we bid for contracts to help tackle health inequalities and drive up standards of care within the Chesterfield and Dronfield locality.

Essential
- 1st level RGN (or equivalent).
- Current NMC professional registration
- Clinical research qualification
Desirable
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- ICH GCP Training

- Up to date knowledge and understanding of the NHS strategy and agenda, national directives, other Department of Health and Health & Safety Executive legislation and all governance aspects; with a specific emphasis on workplace health and well-being.
- Knowledge of SEQOHS standards and requirements for accreditation.
- Demonstrate an understanding of risk assessment, its uses and implications together with associated health and safety implications.
- Ability to communicate effectively including active listening, writing, and verbally, with individuals on a one-to-one basis and with groups.
- Excellent performance management skills.
- Highly developed leadership skills with excellent interpersonal skills - ability to form positive relationships at all levels.
