Hollyoaks
Medical Centre are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Practice Nurse to join
our friendly team. The ideal candidate must be NMC registered.
The
role will be varied, covering all aspects of General Practice nursing and will
involve working collaboratively with the General Practice Team to meet the
needs of patients.
Main duties of the job
The ideal candidate would be able to provide the following services:
- Manage
patients with chronic disease, running specific clinic sessions and
maintain robust call & recall systems.
- Monitoring blood pressure and Hypertension Management
-Undertake
anticoagulation clinics including INR testing
-Travel
Health advice & Child immunisation
-Participate
in national screening work such as Cervical Screening
-Wound
care & Complex Dressings
-Provide
directly and assist GPs with contraceptive service.
-Flu/Pnuemo/B12/Covid
injections, Zoladex/Prostap
-Assist
with Minor Surgeries

Clinical
- Manage

maintain accurate patient records and enter onto the computer using agreed

- Ensure
accurate completion of all necessary documentation associated with patient
health care
- To
collect data and participate in regular Practice audit and research projects
- To
contribute to the preparation of any Practice development plans
- Responsible
for ordering, checking vaccinations levels and expiry dates of stock.
General
To maintain own annual registration with the NMC and adhere to Code of
Professional Conduct
To maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for all staff, patients,
carers and co-workers from other agencies. Ensure all statutory regulations
(e.g. Health & Safety, COSHH, etc) are implemented and adhered to
To promote a professional approach at all times by attire and attitude
to patients and staff both in and out of the Practice
Attend and participate in staff and Practice meetings and in-house
clinical training sessions
To maintain own continuous professional development and ensure PDP kept
up to date in line with the requirements of the practice.
