Job summary
This role will be part of an administration team responsible for a variety of duties including data input, recall, scanning/work flowing and coding of clinical correspondence. There will be some patient telephone contacts necessary. Good all round office and keyboard skills are required. Full training will be given. Attention to detail and able to work as part of a team is essential.
Please note this is a 25 hour per week, 12 month fixed term post.
Monday 8am - 4.45pm, Wednesday 8am - 4.45pm, Friday 9am - 6pm
Full training will be given.

is coded efficiently and accurately, ensuring quality of data entry in
accordance with practice protocols.

Bay Medical Group is proud to be the general practice serving the population of Morecambe and Heysham. We operate out of 5 sites and deliver general medical services to c54,000 patients.
Formed in 2016/17 by established legacy practices in the town, we are fortunate to be a single at scale provider in a distinct geographical area and as such were able to establish the Primary Care Network (PCN) for Morecambe and Heysham in July 2019, with Bay Medical Group as the only Practice in the PCN.

- Process according to protocol daily electronic hospital downloads
- Attach patient-related documents onto their personal medical record using read codes as agreed by the clinical team
- Add any relevant additional information about the source of the documents
- Workflow the documents to the appropriate clinician/team as appropriate following protocol
- Ensure incoming paper correspondence is scanned onto the patient record and/or work-flowed to the appropriate clinician/team within agreed timescales .

- Be fully conversant with the Snomed code system used to enter details on to the Practice computer system.

- Advise the Administration manager for Clinical Correspondence if acceptable turn-around time is likely to be exceeded.
