Job summary
We are looking for receptionists with excellent communication skills. Previous experience of working in a GP surgery is desirable. (Training will be given to the right applicant).
The successful candidate will join a busy GP Practice. As the first point of contact, this role is integral to our approach to patient care, both face to face and on the telephone.
You will need to be flexible as the position(s) will also include some early morning (8am) and / or late evenings(6.30pm)
Your hours once agreed, would become your regular working week and form part of your contract of employment. It is important to understand we need applicants who would need to be prepared to cover holiday and sickness of colleagues as and when required to maintain the standard of services we offer to our large patient list.

As an integral part of the medical reception team and, along with the other Patient Liaison Officers, will have responsibility for the efficient operation of all reception activities, including the front desk, telephone systems, prescriptions, DOCMAN, E-consultations, GP tasks and clarifications, and registrations and patient support.
Be Competent at operating a computerised appointment system in accordance with the access protocol.
Must possess good communication/customer service skills, good computer skills, experience of working in a team, ability to deal with difficult situations and awareness of customer care and confidentiality.Experience in EMIS Web is would be desirable.

Our existing team is friendly, helpful and experienced. The practice team consists of 2 Partner GPs, 6 salaried GPs, 2 Practice nurses, Health Care Assistant, Clinical pharmacist's, Social prescriber, First contact physio's, Practice manager, Patient Liaison managers, and Patient Liaison staff.
