Practice Nurse

This job is now closed

Job summary

Sherburn Group Practice are looking to expand our nursing team and we are looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic nurse to join the team.

Experience of practice nursing would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be given to the right candidate.

This is a new role within the practice that has been introduced due to the expansion of the practice following the opening of our brand new surgery; it is an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse looking to progress their career in general practice.

We are a supportive teaching practice with a well-established nursing team.

Main duties of the job

The role will essentially deliver treatment room services such as vaccinations and immunisations, cervical screening, contraception reviews, wound care including leg ulcer management and general treatment room duties. along with some long-term condition management. This will be a developing role and will adapt to service demands.

About us

Sherburn Group Practice is a fast-growing innovative practice. Our mission statement is Compassionate Care for All, which we try to live by in our dealings with patients both clinically and administratively. Sherburn in Elmet is expanding rapidly with large housing developments either planned or in the process of being built. The practice has been fortunate to secure funding towards a surgery development which we will move back into at the end of May 2024. We will be delivering care in a clean modern environment with plenty of space to take us forward for the future.
