We are looking for an experienced Coder/Summariser to join our existing friendly team.
We are a GP practice in the heart of Loughton with a well established clinical support team.
Main duties of the job
As a coder/ summariser you will be reviewing clinical documents and identifying relevant clinical findings and read coding these documents as appropriate, to ensure accuracy in medical records

- Process documents via the EZ Doc procedure, Which includes the reading of clinical documents, highlighting relevant clinical information and recording in patient records.
- Photocopying and shredding of documents as required
- Offer assistance and co-operation to other team members
- Other duites as may be required

Essential
- GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths
- Good working knowledge of a GP clinical system
- An understanding of the NHS
- Basic computer Knowledge
- Ability to prioritise and organise workload
- Attention to detail
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Neat and tidy appearance
Desirable
- Experience of working in a busy office environment and working
- with the public/within an administrative capacity
- Ability to work alone and use initiative
- Experience using EMIS clinical system
