primary care and the drive to support our clinical service.
Main duties of the job
As a paperless office, there is the utmost importance to
scan all correspondence ontoelectronic patients medical record, using the SystmOne
database and to ensure thatclinical coded entries are entered appropriately and
accurately.Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in
the smooth running of thepractice including opening of the post, clinical coding,
scanning and filing.Facilitate effective communication between all staff
members, patients, members of theprimary health care team, secondary care and other
associated parties.

Job Summary:

Participate in the co-ordination of the fire drills to comply with health and safetyregulations.
Job Responsibilities:
Administration
- To have a thorough knowledge of all practice procedures
- To work in accordance with written protocols
- Opening post and distributing accordingly
- Coding and scanning of documents as requested
- Time management and prioritising workload
- Summarising and read-coding of new patients previous medical records
- Coding of sensitive and confidential information onto the GP database
Computer Skills
- General computer skills, as full training provided
Telephone
- Take calls from work colleagues or third parties and deal with their enquiry in a friendly, polite and professional manner
Other Tasks
Duties may be varied from time to time under the direction of the OperationsManager/General Manager/ Administration Team Leader, dependent on current andevolving practice workload and staffing levels.
