Job summary

Due to the planned retirement of one of our current partners, Firs House medical partnership is looking for a GP Partner to join their practice for six sessions per week.

This is a great opportunity for anyone looking for a partnership in the Cambridge area.

We require the successful candidate to be able to start by latest in March 2023 or earlier if possible; we are prepared to wait for the right candidate. We plan an initial "mutual assessment" period where the role would be as salaried but fully involved in partnership dynamics and meetings.

Main duties of the job

Ideally you will be an experienced GP who has partner experience or looking to become a partner and have the following skills:

  • Good understanding and experience of chronic disease management.
  • Ability to take responsibility for your own career development, learning and performance and ensuring that all mandatory training is up to date.
  • Awareness and compliance with all relevant practice policies/guidelines.
  • Excellent inter-personal and communication skills.

About us

We are a well-established and forward thinking GMS practice with 12,350 patients. We have a happy, friendly and excellent clinical team which consists of five GP partners, three salaried GP, two Advanced Nurse Practitioner, three Practice Nurse, two Health Care Assistant, one Phlebotomist, committed to providing high quality and patient centred primary care. We also work with a in house PCN Physiotherapist and PCN Pharmacists.

Two of our GPs are involved in training of GP registrars. One of our GPs is PCN co-clinical director and part of Local Medical Committee. We are a committed member and lead Practice of Northern Villages Primary Care Network and Cambs GP Federation.

We place a high value on our work-life balance and constantly try to adapt our workload to ensure we achieve the right balance and provide high standards of care.
