Salaried GP– up to 8 sessions per week
Due to the imminent retirement
of our senior partner, we are seeking a salaried GP to join our stable clinical
team prior to their retirement in April 2022.
We are looking for an enthusiastic
and dedicated GP to join our team at Hope Farm Medical Centre, in Ellesmere
Port, Cheshire. We offer a competitive salary, development and training
supported by a full complement of experienced clinical support staff,
non-clinical support staff and management.
We are a GMS Practice, with a diverse
12,940 list size and consistently achieve high QOF along with other clinical
targets and KPIs, while participating in all local and national enhanced
services. We maintain a strong commitment to GP training and medical students,
leading and developing change in the local healthcare community and fully
engage with our colleagues across our PCN, One Ellesmere Port.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be an experienced general practitioner, who acting within their professional boundaries; will provide care for the presenting patient from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of their care. They will demonstrate safe, clinical decision making and expert care for patients within the general practice. The post holder will work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary general practice team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures. The post holder will build effective working relationships with other health care professionals. The post holder will work within the team of clinicians to deliver excellent primary health care services within the practice.

Primary Responsibilities
The following are the core responsibilities of the salaried GP. There may be on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:
- The delivery of highly effective medical care to the entitled population
- The provision of services commensurate with the GMS contract
- Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance
- Effective management of long-term conditions
- Processing of administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescription requests and other associated administrative tasks
- On a rotational basis, undertake telephone triage and duty doctor roles
- Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy and guidance
- Working collaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workload
- Adhere to best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process
- Contribute to the successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the practice
- Accept delegated responsibility for a specific area (or areas) or the QOF
- Attend and contribute effectively to practice meetings as required
- Contribute effective to the development and maintenance of the practice including clinical governance, training, financial management and HR
- Ensure compliance with the appraisal process
- Prepare and complete the revalidation process
- Commit to self-learning and instil an ethos of continuing professional development across the practice team
