Up to 8 sessions per week
This
has been set at £11,220 for each of the weekly sessions. The added role/responsibilities are expected
to be fulfilled/performed outside of normal clinical sessions. On occasions time may be required within normal clinical
hours; this would be arranged in discussion with partners, such as for
meetings.

Main duties of the job
This
senior role is an opportunity for any GP to develop their skills, experience,
management and leadership responsibilities to support the Partnership and the
Practice. The successful applicant will be mentored and guided by one or more
partners.
During your defined
hours of work you will provide medical services to any patients on the practice
list and to temporary residents in accordance with the practice Personal
Medical Services (PMS) contract.

- Integral
part of practice leadership and development - supporting the Partnership and promoting the practice ethos.

To contribute to our mentoring programme for
newly qualified GPs and ARRs roles within the surgery.
·
Chairing one of the weekly GP team meetings
(establish an agenda, appraise themselves of relevant Operational
and Clinical updates, chair, delegate minute taking, ensure fair discussion,
and help cascade practice information)
·
Attendance all or part of a partners meeting once a month to
feedback on their area of responsibilities within the practice and projects.
This is also an opportunity to understand the wider function of the Practice
and to learn from the discussions whilst contributing as appropriate
·
Wider project work will involve supporting Partners in their
various areas of responsibility and taking on some discreet projects and
responsibilities. The projects will have agreed objectives and periodic
progress/outcome reporting built in with feedback in practice meetings and
debriefs with one or more of the partnership team. The current projects are not
set, but examples could be:

Education lead for the practice, organising and ensuring delivery
of this for GPs and other clinicians with the help of other administrative
staff, liaising with scheduling and promoting events.
