Job summary

There has never been a more exciting time to work in primary care, and Waterside Primary Care Network (PCN) is expanding its Clinical Team.

We are seeking to recruit a positive, caring and self-motivated individual to take on the role and work in our Urgent Care Centre.

Main duties of the job

Unscheduled care means no two days are the same. Working in the Urgent Care Centre offers you the opportunity to work as a fully autonomous clinician, responsible for the assessment, treatment and care of patients with a wide range of presentations.

We need a clinician who is committed to professional development and that of others. Someone with a proven history of working within a primary care or urgent care setting.

This new role is great opportunity for a Physician Associate who can act within their professional boundaries striving to improve patient care.

You are trusted and empowered to make high-level clinical decisions and will often have your own caseload.

With a range of diagnostics available to aid your clinical examination, the UCC environment is an ideal place to consolidate previous experience of Emergency Department, Walk in Centres, GP Practices or OOH environments.

Qualifications

Essential

Degree at 2:1 level or above and Postgraduate Diploma/Master in Physician Associate from an accredited University

Current and valid certification or re-certification by the Physician Associate National Examination.

Member of Faculty of Physician Associates.

Desirable

Evidence of continuing professional development activities

Member of Physician Associate Managed Voluntary Register
