You will be responsible for the day-to-day functionality of the organisations IT systems, undertaking a wide range of IT systems management duties in support of the multidisciplinary team.

Your duties can include but are not limited to, leading the running of patient searches and requested reporting data, administration of databases, user accounts, housekeeping, upgrades and general queries.

In addition, the you will be required to provide support to the multidisciplinary team, maintain the organisations IT infrastructure, provide support to the team, ensure all issues are resolved or escalated in a timely manner and provide local training as necessary whilst ensuring all issues are resolved or escalated in a timely manner.

b.Effective maintenance of all organisation IT infrastructure, including hardware, office systems, email, telephone, internet and clinical systems, minimising downtime

d.Ensure back-up and disaster recovery procedures are in place and effective

e.Perform regular system checks to maximise performance

f.Provide training to all staff as required, ensuring the effective use of all systems

h.Deliver the IT related elements of the staff induction programme

i.Build, generate and carry out searches as required by the organisation team to enable reports to be produced and action plans devised

j.Inputting and extracting data as required to support practice reports

k.Support the team in the effective use of searches, audits and recalls providing advice where appropriate

l.Support the team in the use of the clinical systems

m.Act as a liaison between the organisation and external agencies, for the timely management of all faults

n.Ensure that the organisation website information is correct and that the details are in accordance with the GP website benchmarking and improvement tool.

o.Configure searches and interpret data for audit purposes

p.Send out mail merges for a number of campaigns, i.e., flu

a.Ensure all staff have the appropriate smart card access to the clinical system

b.Support the Practice Manager with all elements of the online patient access software

c.Ensure the Practice Manager is updated regarding the release of patches and upgrades

d.The configuration (activation and de-activation) of all staff email accounts

e.The writing of IT related policies and protocols

f.Supporting all clinical staff with general administrative tasks as requested
