Job summary
- A training practice both GP training and medical students
- A mixture of salaried GPs and partners
- GPs meet every morning at 10am to discuss cases, stay up to date and just to catch up with each other
- Excellent Nursing team who all take part in chronic disease management
- 1 Advance Nurse Practitioners
- The pharmacist and pharmacy technician deal with queries, putting on medications from discharge summaries and structured medication reviews
- Access to ARRS staff who are appointed by the PCN such as mental health practitioners, care co-ordinator, first contact physio and a dietician in addition to in house based Care Coordinators and GPA
- Approx 8,000 patients

- Situated in a market town with excellent communication links as it is on the London to Edinburgh Railway line and on the A1M. There is also international cricket at the Riverside Cricket Ground.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be expected to undertake all of the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working in primary care.
The post holder will also form a close working relationship with the practice/services where you they are providing primary care services. A high degree of flexibility will be required along with willingness to adapt to fluctuations in practice workload and adaptable to the day to day demands of a busy general practice.
The post holder will undertake a variety of duties, including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions, resolving medication queries and completion of paperwork and correspondence.
