Job summary

Enfield Unity PCN are looking for an enthusiastic Deputy Operations Manager for maternaty cover July 2024 for 12 months. You will play a pivotal role in the delivery of high-quality primary health care within the Network.

  • Support the PCN Operations Manager to ensure the smooth running of the Network.
  • Line management & HR functions for additional roles staff
  • To be involved in the administration, communications and development of the PCN.
  • Assist in the production of performance and quality reports within the PCN and other PCN initiatives.
  • Assist with the PCN financial systems/payments to all the practices within the Network.
  • Ensure the PCNs compliance with the GDPR and FOI along with other relevant legislation and professional information management standards such as GMC/BMA and LMC guidance

Main duties of the job

Working closley with the Operations Manager and Clinical Directors the post holder will be the first point of contact with regard to delivery of PCN projects/schemes.

Support contractual requirements on behalf of the PCN

Support the co-ordination of training and development of clinical/administrative staff

Support the co-ordination of delivery of enhanced services and other service submissions on behalf of the PCN

Support recruitment, induction and training of new PCN staff

Collate feedback / analysis data on behalf of the PCN

To facilitate the workflow processes in relation to the above

Take notes of meetings and circulate in a timely manner

Enfield Unity PCN is comprised of 17 sites across Enfield and serves a population of 158000 patients.

Medicus Health Partners (MHP) is the lead practice for Unity PCN and will be the employing organisation. MHP is a super-partnership made up of 9 sites.

Job description

Job responsibilities

  • First point of contact with regard to delivery of Network projects/schemes.
  • Support contractual requirements on behalf of the Network
  • Support the co-ordination of training and development of clinical/administrative staff
  • Support the co-ordination of delivery of services and service submissions on behalf of the Network

Finance:

Support the monitoring and check the accuracy of any submissions for Enhanced Services, Contractual requirements on behalf of the Network and ensure that all claims are submitted on a monthly and quarterly basis

Support the manager in ensuring the PCNs physical and financial resources are managed and maintained for maximum effectiveness through:

Ensuring all claims are submitted in good time and payment made and received

Ensuring the practices allocation of resources if fair and equitable

Present plans, monitoring information and reports to the PCN as required

Organisational:

Manage bookings and diary for meetings, clinics etc.

Support the operations manager with the PCN Clinical Directors availability and diary management.

Support the operations manager with all HR & administration functions as required.

IM&T

Ensure the PCNs compliance with the GDPR and FOI along with other relevant legislation and professional information management standards such as GMC/BMA and LMC guidance

Train & register as an ID checker for NHS smartcard management

Welfare:

Organise PCN events i.e. PLT/Educational Events

Working Relationships:

To work as a flexible member of the PCN providing support to other team members when necessary

To take an active role in the development and embedding of the PCNs culture, values and reputation as providers of high quality services

Encourage supporting staff to collaborate through sharing information and intelligence across different activities

  • At least 2 A'Levels or equivalent
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products with advanced level skills in the use of excel for analysis and costing purposes as required for this operational role
  • Be computer literate, able to operate commonly used IT packages and manage their own IT system with support from the IT provider.

Desirable

  • Qualified to NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care
  • Qualified to Degree level

  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work on own initiative
