Locum GP - Maternity Cover

Job summary

The Weardale Practice are looking for GP maternity locum cover from March 2023, for 9-10 months.

4 sessions (ideally, but negotiable).

Salary negotiable depending on experience. (ignore the banding on the advert)

We are flexible with start and finish times of clinics and working pattern, on call commitment etc.

Main duties of the job

High achieving in QOF, with a well-led and experienced chronic disease management team. CQC rating 'good'. Part of Wear Valley PCN and Durham Dales Health Federation.

We have twice weekly clinical meetings to keep in touch and discuss cases.

Clinical system is SystmOne.

About us

We are a very friendly, supportive and high achieving training practice. We care for 7500 patients in the beautiful North Pennines. Less than 25 minutes traffic free commute from the Tyne Valley, 30 minutes from Durham and 40 minutes from Newcastle.

We have 5 partners and 2 salaried GPs, and an extensive allied health care professional team, including pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, read coders, ANP, mental health worker, social prescribers, paramedics and a daytime visiting service for vulnerable adults. We have an experienced and highly skilled nursing and HCA team.

We are a long-established NVTS training practice, offering substantive and ITP posts, as well as placements for 3rd, 4th and 5th year medical students from Newcastle University.
