Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen at School Lane Surgery, a dynamic and forward-thinking practice!

We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate individual, who is an organised and experienced administrator, IT literate, and with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to complement our existing team.

Previous experience of working within a HR role or department would be an advantage but is not essential, as job specific training will be provided.

We offer a competitive salary, depending on experience and qualifications, the NHS pension, 5-weeks annual leave, plus bank holidays.

Main duties of the job

Act as primary contact for all HR administration within the surgery, supported by Assistant Practice Manager as well as other Managers and Leads.

Co-ordinate with Managers on the recruitment of new staff, ensuring the completion of all pre-employment checks, inductions, and initial training.

Sickness recording, monitoring/completion of relevant documents.

Record keeping, ensuring all staff files are up to date in line with legislation and best practice to ensure CQC requirements are met.

Co-ordinate all complaints received, investigating and reporting, working with managers and partners, ensuring that the complaints policy is followed.

Supporting on significant event investigations, working with managers and partners.

Liaise and co-ordinate all locum bookings, with Assistant Practice Manager, ensuring that all locums have the appropriate pre-employment checks and inductions.

Ensure in-house policies and protocols are updated and accurate, working with others where policy may need to be reviewed.

Working with Partners, Assistant Practice Manager, and others, liaise and book educational training sessions for staff with internal and external stakeholders.

Collation of payroll data and completion of monthly payroll procedure, supported by Assistant Practice Manager.
