Job summary

We have a fantastic opportunity to join our friendly, well-established practice, working 26-32 hours per week over 3-4 days, including extended access until 8pm on a Tuesday.

Main duties of the job

The ideal candidate will be registered with the NMC and have experience of working in a GP Practice setting. Competency in all aspects of Primary Care nursing duties, including chronic disease management, travel and child immunisations, cervical cytology, sexual health and contraception is preferred. ARTP (spirometry) certification would be an advantage.

About us

We look after circa 8000 patients from our surgery within Woodley Health Centre - a modern purpose-built building with excellent facilities for patients and staff including on-site parking. It houses both primary care and community services (including District Nurses & Health Visitors) conducive to regular contact with our community colleagues.

Our team includes 3 GP Partners, 3 Salaried GPs, 2 GP Trainees, Advanced Practitioner, Practice Pharmacist, 2 Practice Nurses, 2 Healthcare Assistantsand (through our Primary Care Network) a range of associate professionals including, First Contact Practitioners, Wellbeing and Self-care coordinators, Pharmacists and Care Coordinators.

As an accredited training practice we are happy to consider all levels of experience and will support the development of the right candidate wishing to develop additional skills and qualifications.

Situated on the edge of the Peak District, close to J25 of the M60 and a short drive to Manchester city centre, Woodley and the surrounding area is served by excellent road, rail and bus services and good local schools.
