The Groves Hinchley Wood is seeking a motivated Practice Nurse to join our team and provide highquality care to patients at our Hinchley Wood Surgery.

We are looking for a qualified General Practice Nurse, and nurses with relevant experience who are keen to develop their skills in primary care are encouraged to apply.

This is a part time role, 3 days per week -we are open to discussing flexible working arrangements for the right candidate.

Main duties of the job

As a practice nurse you will

  • conduct comprehensive assessments of patients health needs

  • develop implement and review individualised care plans

  • provide appropriate treatments and interventions as required

  • undertake treatment room responsibilities and deliver chronic disease management clinics

  • carry out specific clinical tasks including but not limited to

    • travel health consultations and vaccinations

    • cervical screening

    • childhood immunisations

    • wound management

    • blood pressure monitoring and ecgs

    • venepuncture and health checks

  • work collaboratively with gps other nurses and the wider healthcare team to ensure high quality patient care

  • maintain accurate timely and confidential patient records in line with nhs standards

  • deliver health education advice and counselling to patients and their families

  • keep up to date with current clinical guidelines medical advancements and best practice in primary care

This is a parttime position worked over three days per week, Monday to Friday, with flexibility available for the right candidate.
