Job summary
Due to expansion, Whitstable Medical Practice is looking to
recruit an HR Administrator to join the HR team.
Previous administration experience working in a fast-pace environment
is required as well as excellent communication, organisation, and IT
skills. The successful candidate must also have strong
attention to detail and be able to multi-task. Although not essential a background in
recruitment would be an advantage.
We are looking for someone to work between 24 and 30 hours a week over 4 or
5 days. Salary will be dependent on
experience. The NHS pension is offered.
Main duties of the job
The HR Administrator will provide a comprehensive,
high quality recruitment administration support to managers, and practice staff
from the start to the end of the recruitment process. To act as the first point of contact for
potential candidates interested in working at the Practice and to work as part
of the Human Resources team in providing an effective and efficient
service.

Whitstable Medical Practice is a forward thinking single practice Primary Care Network (PCN) GP Practice based across 3 sites in Whitstable. There are 23 equity partners and 6 salaried GPs looking after over 42,000 patients. We pride ourselves on our innovative approach to Primary Care. We are a training practice and run various in house contracts including Cataract surgery, Ultrasound, Dermatology, Physical Therapies and Audiology together with further community contracts, a Day Surgery Suite and an Urgent Treatment Centre with digital x-ray.

Responsibilities:
- Be the first point of contact for all recruitment
related queries from managers, staff and potential candidates
- Liaise with managers to ensure job descriptions and
person specifications are reviewed and accurately represent job
content. Advice on wording for job
adverts.
- Prepare and place adverts internally, externally and
on the Practice website.
- Organise and prepare job applications for shortlisting
by the recruiting manager
- Arrange and co-ordinate interviews and participate in
interviews when required
- Ensure unsuccessful applicants for interview are
declined.
- Monitor and keep records of recruitment decisions and interview
notes
- Notify successful and unsuccessful interview
candidates providing feedback where necessary
- Draft and issue offer letters, contracts of employment
and send out new starter information
- Apply for DBS, and ensure all new staff have the
relevant qualifications, indemnity cover etc.
- Set up on-boarding arrangements for all new employees
ensuring key people are notified of the start date.
- Conduct the HR induction for all new joiners
- Ensure that the mandatory eLearning training is set up
for all new staff and also that their personal details are input onto the BlueStream
Academy database.
- Hand over new joiner payroll and pension forms to the
Payroll Administrator.
- Monitor one month, three month and six month probation
reviews ensuring that managers have the relevant paperwork.
- On successful completion of a probation period issue
relevant letter confirming them in post.
- Provide administration support to
the HR Officer as and when required with HR related tasks.
- Work closely with other HR team
members and liaise where required.
- Other duties as per doctors/management
team instructions as dictated by changes in the nature of the Whitstable
Medical Practice.
