Sandgate Road Surgery is recruiting a full time Advanced Clinical/Nurse Practitioner (AC/NP) to work at our supportive and innovative GP Surgery based in Folkestone, Kent. The practice is open to flexible working and job share if required. This is a permanent post to support our growing patient list.
Main duties of the job
The post would suit a clinician with experience with minor illness and clinical triage. Confidence in your decision making within a supportive team is important. The work would involve patient consultation, treatment and referral for tests and onward specialised assessments. The AC/NP would be supported by our well established and pioneering Long Term Conditions team. The team currently comprises two full time Practice Matrons, supported by two part time administrative assistants and with the oversight of a dedicated GP Partner. In this role the clinician will work closely with GP colleagues to develop their skills.
About us
The practice has always had a passion for training and developing clinicians. We are a training practice currently hosting FY2 and ST2 doctors and have been involved in the training and mentoring of Practice Nurses and training Paramedic Practitioners for many years
Sandgate Road Surgery is a 13,200 patient, seven GP Partner practice. In addition to the Long Term Conditions Team, the clinical team also currently comprises two salaried GP’s, a Senior Clinical Pharmacist, four Practice Nurses and two HCA’s. We also have an experienced and effective management and administration team assisting our clinicians.
The practice is part of an expanding and dynamic Primary Care Network. We work closely with the PCN team of Pharmacists, Physiotherapists, Physicians Associates and Social Prescribers to better manage our patient needs and clinicians workload. We also have direct access to the local urgent treatment centre clinicians appointment list to ensure patients are able to be managed in the most effective way.
