Sellindge Surgery

PRACTICE NURSE

Information:

This job is now closed

Job summary

Sellindge Surgery is a small, busy, rural GP practice that requires a full time practice nurse (a job share will be considered) to join our friendly team.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant(s) will be familiar with all aspects of practice nursing and ideally will have worked in a GP practice; childhood immunisations, cervical smears anticoagulant monitoring (INR) and chronic disease management are areas where experience is desired.

The successful applicant(s) will also receive training to assist Dr George in his ear, nose and throat clinics.

Dermascope clinics are also run from the surgery and full training will be given if required.

However, this could also be an exciting new opportunity for a newly qualified nurse as support will be given for training to achieve the skills required.

A key personal requirement will be the ability to be flexible within the working day, as to comply with NHSE guidelines, we are required to offer appointments outside of the core working hours.

About us

Sellindge Surgery is a small village practice with two GP partners and one salaried GP supported by a small team to deliver services to our 5,000 patients from the village and surrounding areas.

We have a small friendly reception team and a dispensary on site.

The surgery also has physiotherapists, midwife and social prescribers from the primary care network offering clinics at the surgery for our registered patients.

A successful ear, nose and throat clinic runs from the surgery offering a service to patients from the Kent & Medway CCG area.
