Job summary

We are looking for an experienced Practice Nurse to join our team providing nursing services to the patients, including Childhood immunisations, Chronic Disease Management, Vaccinations, Cytology, Wound dressing etc.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for someone with experience of working in small but busy environment, who is both flexible and can adapt to the every changing demands of primary care.

About us

We have a growing list size of 5000+ patients with two GP partners. The practice benefits from a very efficient and strong administration team who work closely with the doctors and nurses.

Job description

Job responsibilities

To manage patients with chronic disease, running specific clinic sessions and maintaining robust call and recall systems.

Participate in national screening work such as cervical cytology and deliver the national immunisation and vaccination schedule.

Provide travel health advice and administer appropriate vaccinations.

Treat To maintain own annual registration with the NMC and adhere to Code of Professional Conduct.

Treat patients with minor injuries.

To maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for all PHCT staff, patients, carers and co-workers from other agencies. Ensure all statutory regulations (e.g. Health & Safety, COSHH, etc) are implemented and adhered to.

Any other reasonable duties that may be required from time-to-time.
