5 GPs
2 Advanced
Practitioners
3 Physician
Associates
6 x Practice Nurses
2 x HCA

Salary - £10.52 per
hour
Hours of work 27.5
hours per week

WORKING PATTERN:
Monday: 08:00-18:30
Wednesday: 12:00-18:45
Thursday: 13:30-18:30
Friday: 11:45-18:30
Plus Saturday mornings 08:00-12:00 these
are covered on a rota basis and paid as overtime or taken in time in leiu
As a member of our
frontline the candidate will be the first point of contact for our service
users and visitors.
Must have good
communication skills and be able to deal objectively and professionally in a
calm and approachable manner when liaising with patients, staff, healthcare
professionals and outside agencies.
Knowledge of EMIS Web
clinical system would be an advantage and experience of working in a healthcare
setting is essential.
Main duties of the job
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
A.
GENERAL
RECEPTION DUTIES:
Reception
of patients in a courteous and efficient manner.
Answering
general enquiries, at reception and over the telephone and explaining surgery
procedures.
Submitting
AskmyGP requests/messages for those patients with no internet access.
Receiving
and processing requests for repeat prescriptions via EPS, telephone, post, and e-mail.
Sending
of patient notes via EMIS.
Ensuring
that the reception office is tidy and ready for use by incoming colleagues.
Pass
on any unresolved or urgent matters/messages that may need dealing with to
incoming colleagues.
Changing
names and addresses on patient records and computer.
Registration
of new patients and patient access registrations.
Registration
of temporary residents.
Completion
of postage details on Royal Mail on-line business account on a rota basis.
Printing
of laboratory request forms from ICE.
To
be aware of current policy around the correct procedure for the cleaning of
blood/body fluid spillages and to be able to implement it.
To
follow all Covid-19 guidance e.g., hands, face, space, and regular lateral flow
testing etc.
Cutting
and tidying of Lloyd George envelopes.
Any
other duties as may be required from time to time.
