Job summary

Richmond Medical Group is a ong standing training  practice that working  over two sites in London. We are currently recruiting a Salaried GP to join our supportive and friendly team. The post would be 6 - 8 sessions a week.We would be happy to consider job share.

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will provide general medical services managing a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients. Work with practice teams support the achievement of prescribing outcomes for Quality Outcomes Framework (QoF); Directed Enhanced Services (DES); Local Incentive Schemes (LIS) and Prescribing Incentive Schemes (PIS)

About us

Richmodn Medical Group has a list size of 17800 patients and works across two sites in East Sheen and Kew in London. We are a forward thinking practice. We have a very supportive administative team and have additinal support form our paramedic,mental health support worker,care cordinators and social prescribers.We have been a training practice for over 40 years and have all levels of students form work expreince to registrars and GP returners.

Job description

Job responsibilities

 Duties to  include surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion.

Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation

Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems

Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness

In consultation with patients and in line with current Practice disease management protocols, developing care plans for health.

Providing counselling and health education, and promotion.

Admitting or discharging patients to and from the caseload and referring to other care providers as appropriate.

Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards.

Collecting data for audit purposes

Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions.  

Prescribing in accordance with the Practice prescribing formulary.

In general the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.

  • MRCGP
  • Vocational Training Certificate or equivalent JCPTGP
  • General Practitioner (Certificate of Completion of Training CCT)
  • Eligibility
  • Full GMC Registration
  • National Performers List registration
  • Appropriate defence indemnity (MPS/MDU)
  • Eligibility to practice in the UK independently

Desirable

  • Experience of medicines management
  • Experience of CCG initiatives
