Job summary

Role: Salaried GP (Newly Qualified ARRS)

2 clinical sessions p/w to be worked mid-week plus every other Saturday. Pro rata CPD and admin session per week.

Start date ideally 1st July 2025

Main duties of the job

  • Provide a high standard of General Medical Services to the Practice and PCN population (Saturdays) within agreed protocols
  • Provide face to face, telephone and video consultations
  • Provide care and advice in the management of illness or disease
  • Refer patients and arrange investigations within the agreed timeframe
  • Admit patients or signpost to other services where clinically appropriate
  • Ensure clear and concise records of all consultations are documented within the patient record
  • Undertake related administration, ie, issue, check and sign prescriptions, action test results
  • Provide support and clinical supervision to the Extended Access team

RESPONSIBLE AND ACCOUNTABLE TO: The Partners at Stonehill Medical Centre and Management team

JOB SUMMARY: To provide the highest standard of care to patients across the PCN within the Extended Access Service. To provide and arrange medical care, treatment, advice and health education to the Practices patients. To maintain good quality, accurate records of all consultations whether face to face or by telephone, including those carried out by visiting the patients home. The Post-holder will work in accordance with the standards set by the GMC, Care Quality Commission and NICE.

SUMMARY OF MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide a high standard of General Medical Services to the PCN population within agreed protocols
  • Provide face to face, telephone and video consultations
  • Provide care and advice in the management of illness or disease
