An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Practice Nurse to work alongside our friendly, established team of staff based in Wymondham, Norfolk.

Main duties of the job

Experience is essential in wound care, long term conditions, smears, family planning, vaccinations, travel health and promotions, health checks and B12 injections.

Job Summary:

To be responsible for the daily delivery of practice nursing service on a dedicated site and working as part of the practice multidisciplinary team, delivering care within their scope of practice to the practice population.

To work independently to provide and maintain a high professional standard of nursing care in adherence to all Practice protocols/policies & guidelines, as well as to provide nursing assistance, where required, to other members of the primary healthcare team.

To participate in the provision of mentorship/clinical supervision for all Health care Students and colleagues alike, creating an effective shared learning environment.

The role of the Practice nurse needs to be flexible in line with the present atmosphere for change within the health service delivery. It is essential that the nurse works within own level of competency and expand their role in accordance with practice requirements and own scope of practice.
