Job summary
To work
as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of medical
services to the practice population, delivering an excellent standard of
clinical care whilst complying with the GMS contract. Furthermore, the
post-holder will adhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice,
contributing to the effective management of the practice, leading by example,
maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationship with the
multidisciplinary team.
Main duties of the job

Deliver effective, high-quality medical care to patients in line with the GMS contract.

Manage long-term conditions and provide continuity of care.

Complete administrative tasks promptly, including referrals and repeat prescriptions.

Participate in telephone triage and duty doctor roles on a rotational basis.

Maintain accurate, compliant clinical records.

Share practice workload equitably and work collaboratively with colleagues.

Follow clinical guidelines, contribute to audits, and support quality improvement initiatives.

Take responsibility for specific QOF areas as delegated.

Attend and contribute to practice meetings.

Engage in practice development including governance, training, finance, and HR.

Comply with appraisal and revalidation requirements.

We are a well-established, friendly, and forward-thinking GP practice caring for around 12,500 patients under a GMS contract. Our team is made up of five dedicated GP partners supported by a strong multidisciplinary team who work closely together to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care.
