Health Care Assistant

Job summary

We are looking for a HCA to join our small and friendly team here at Watling Street Medical Practice. Your role will be varied and rewarding, you will work alongside the clinical team in the provision and delivery of prescribed programmes of patient care.

Main duties of the job

Duties and responsibilities:

NHS health checks

Hypertension Reviews and monitoring

Peak flow readings

Flu vaccines given under PSD

Diabetic foot checks

Chaperoning duties

Processing and management of laboratory samples requested by GPs/nurses

Sterilising, cleansing and maintenance of surgical equipment

Vaccine/cold chain storage, monitoring and recording

Surgical equipment and vaccine re-stocking and stock rotation

Clearing and re-stocking consulting rooms

About us

Watling Street is a small practice with 7200 patients. We have three GP partners and a Business Partner. Four Physician Associates, one Advance Nurse Practitioner and one Practice Nurse, along side the clinical staff we have an experienced admin team who look after the reception department and all the non clinical needs for the practice. We are a friendly team with a good work ethic but also flexible and accomodating the team also are very supportive of one another.
